Description
Get crispy buffalo chicken wings in your air fryer. This method delivers perfectly cooked wings with a delicious buffalo sauce coating.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings, split
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for crispy wings.
- In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. Cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer.
- While wings are cooking, whisk together hot sauce, melted butter, white vinegar, and garlic powder in a medium bowl.
- Once wings are cooked, transfer them to the bowl with the buffalo sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce and celery sticks.
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, you can lightly dust them with baking powder (about 1 teaspoon per pound of wings) before air frying.
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce to your preference for spiciness.
- Store leftover wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
