- 1 (5 ounce) can tuna in water, drained
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 4 slices bread (your choice)
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- 2 slices provolone cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Gently fold in the crumbled bacon.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Top each bread slice with one slice of cheddar cheese and one slice of provolone cheese.
- Spoon half of the tuna mixture onto each cheesy bread slice.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
- Cook for 3-5 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve immediately.

- Adjust the amount of mayonnaise to your preference for a creamier or drier tuna salad.
- Try adding a pinch of garlic powder or a dash of hot sauce to the tuna mixture for extra flavor.
- Any type of cheese that melts well can be used.
