- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 bag (32 ounces) frozen tater tots
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain off excess grease.
- Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the meat mixture.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
- Bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef.
- Add other vegetables like peas, carrots, or corn to the meat mixture.
