Description
Easy and refreshing chocolate-dipped frozen bananas, perfect for a summer treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ripe bananas, peeled and cut in half
- 8 wooden popsicle sticks
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)
- Optional toppings: chopped nuts, sprinkles, shredded coconut
Instructions
- Insert a popsicle stick into the cut end of each banana half. Place the bananas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Freeze the bananas until solid, about 2-3 hours.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using) in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each frozen banana into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
- If using toppings, sprinkle them over the chocolate before it sets.
- Place the dipped bananas back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Freeze until the chocolate is firm, about 30 minutes.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer.
Notes
- Use ripe bananas for the best flavor.
- Coconut oil helps make the chocolate smoother for dipping.
- Work quickly when dipping the bananas as they will start to thaw.
