- 12 large fresh jalapeño peppers
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 12 slices bacon
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat.
- Carefully slice each jalapeño pepper in half lengthwise. Use a spoon to remove the seeds and membranes.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, filling it generously.
- Wrap one slice of bacon around each stuffed jalapeño half. Secure the bacon with a toothpick if needed.
- Place the bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers on the preheated grill.
- Grill for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the bacon is crispy and the peppers are tender.
- Remove from the grill and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Wear gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid skin irritation.
- For extra spice, leave some seeds in the peppers.
- You can prepare the stuffed and wrapped poppers ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to grill.
