  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Secret Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together all the secret sauce ingredients until well combined. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 12 equal portions (about 1.3 ounces each). Gently form them into loose balls; do not overwork the meat.
  3. Heat a cast iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat until very hot.
  4. Place the beef balls on the hot skillet, leaving space between them.
  5. Using a sturdy spatula or burger press, firmly smash each ball down into a thin patty, about 1/4 inch thick. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until a deep brown crust forms and the burgers are cooked through. For cheeseburgers, add a small slice of cheese during the last minute of cooking and cover briefly to melt.
  7. While the burgers cook, brush the cut sides of the slider buns with melted butter. Toast the buns on the skillet for 1-2 minutes, until golden brown.
  8. Assemble the sliders: Place a cooked burger patty on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top with your desired toppings and a generous dollop of Secret Sauce. Cover with the top bun.
