- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup sugar-free ketchup
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 8 large lettuce leaves (such as iceberg or butter lettuce)
- Optional toppings: pickles, tomatoes, sugar-free bacon bits
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is softened.
- Stir in the sugar-free ketchup, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Place a slice of cheddar cheese over the meat mixture in the skillet. Cover and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
- Spoon the cheeseburger mixture into the center of each lettuce leaf.
- Add your favorite toppings if desired.
- Wrap the lettuce leaves around the filling and serve immediately.
Notes
- You can use any type of ground meat you prefer, such as ground turkey or chicken.
- Adjust the amount of seasonings to your taste.
- If you don’t have large lettuce leaves, you can use smaller ones and make mini wraps or serve the mixture as a salad over chopped lettuce.
