Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup sugar-free ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 8 large lettuce leaves (such as iceberg or butter lettuce)
  • Optional toppings: pickles, tomatoes, sugar-free bacon bits


Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is softened.
  3. Stir in the sugar-free ketchup, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Place a slice of cheddar cheese over the meat mixture in the skillet. Cover and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  5. Spoon the cheeseburger mixture into the center of each lettuce leaf.
  6. Add your favorite toppings if desired.
  7. Wrap the lettuce leaves around the filling and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can use any type of ground meat you prefer, such as ground turkey or chicken.
  • Adjust the amount of seasonings to your taste.
