Description

Classic New England style lobster rolls, perfect for a summer sandwich.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound cooked lobster meat, roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 4 split-top hot dog buns
  • Butter, for toasting buns
  • Optional: chopped fresh chives or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, celery salt, and black pepper. Stir gently to combine.
  2. Butter the outsides of the split-top hot dog buns.
  3. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Toast the buttered sides of the buns until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Fill each toasted bun with the lobster mixture.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh chives or parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh, high-quality lobster meat for the best flavor.
  • Do not overmix the lobster salad; you want to keep some chunks of lobster.
  • Split-top buns are traditional for New England lobster rolls, but you can use other buns if preferred.
