Description
Classic New England style lobster rolls, perfect for a summer sandwich.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound cooked lobster meat, roughly chopped
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- 4 split-top hot dog buns
- Butter, for toasting buns
- Optional: chopped fresh chives or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, celery salt, and black pepper. Stir gently to combine.
- Butter the outsides of the split-top hot dog buns.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Toast the buttered sides of the buns until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Fill each toasted bun with the lobster mixture.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh chives or parsley if desired.
Notes
- Use fresh, high-quality lobster meat for the best flavor.
- Do not overmix the lobster salad; you want to keep some chunks of lobster.
- Split-top buns are traditional for New England lobster rolls, but you can use other buns if preferred.
