Ingredients

- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 3 cups quick-cooking oats
Instructions
- Combine sugar, milk, butter, and cocoa powder in a saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Boil for exactly 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and peanut butter until smooth.
- Add the quick-cooking oats and stir until well combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto wax paper or parchment paper.
- Let the cookies cool completely until set.
Notes
- Use quick-cooking oats, not old-fashioned oats.
- Boiling for exactly 1 minute is important for the texture.
- These cookies set best at room temperature.
