Description
This Peach Iced Tea Lemonade combines the sweetness of peaches, the briskness of iced tea, and the tang of fresh lemonade for a refreshing drink. It’s a perfect balance of flavors.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups brewed black tea, chilled
- 2 cups fresh lemon juice (about 8-10 lemons)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint sprigs or peach slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced peaches and granulated sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the peaches soften and release their juices, about 8-10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let the peach mixture cool slightly.
- Transfer the cooled peach mixture to a blender and blend until smooth. For a smoother drink, strain the peach puree through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any pulp.
- In a large pitcher, combine the chilled brewed black tea, fresh lemon juice, cold water, and the peach puree. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as desired. You can add more sugar if you prefer it sweeter, or more lemon juice for a tangier taste.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the peach iced tea lemonade over the ice.
- Garnish with fresh mint sprigs or peach slices, if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use ripe peaches for the best flavor.
- Adjust the amount of sugar to your preference.
- For a stronger tea flavor, use more tea bags when brewing.
- This drink can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
