This pesto tuna pasta salad is a fresh, herbaceous twist on a classic, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients

- 8 ounces pasta (penne, rotini, or fusilli work well)
- 2 (5 ounce) cans tuna in water, drained
- 1/2 cup prepared pesto sauce
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water to cool.
- In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, pesto sauce, mayonnaise, red onion, celery, and fresh basil.
- Add the cooled pasta to the bowl and mix gently until all ingredients are well combined.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add cherry tomatoes or black olives.
- You can make your own pesto for a fresher taste.
