This pesto tuna pasta salad is a fresh, herbaceous twist on a classic, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (penne, rotini, or fusilli work well)
  • 2 (5 ounce) cans tuna in water, drained
  • 1/2 cup prepared pesto sauce
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water to cool.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, pesto sauce, mayonnaise, red onion, celery, and fresh basil.
  3. Add the cooled pasta to the bowl and mix gently until all ingredients are well combined.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
