This Seven-Layer Taco Dip is a classic party appetizer, easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. Layers of refried beans, sour cream, guacamole, cheese, and your favorite toppings create a delicious and vibrant dip perfect for sharing.

- 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
- 1 (1 ounce) packet taco seasoning
- 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
- 1 (16 ounce) container prepared guacamole
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion (optional)
- Tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the refried beans with the taco seasoning. Spread this mixture evenly in the bottom of a large serving dish or a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spread the sour cream evenly over the refried bean layer.
- Carefully spread the guacamole over the sour cream layer.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses over the guacamole.
- Top with the chopped tomatoes, sliced black olives, and chopped red onion (if using).
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve chilled with tortilla chips.
Notes
- You can customize the layers with your favorite toppings, such as salsa, pickled jalapeños, or chopped green onions.
- For a spicier dip, add a dash of hot sauce to the refried beans or sour cream.
- Make sure to drain the tomatoes well before adding them to the dip to prevent it from becoming watery.
